New York Loves Marriage Equality!
Ugh… The State Senate delayed a highly anticipated vote on same-sex marriage this afternoon, putting off the issue indefinitely.
Republicans and Democrats said that as of this afternoon, the measure was still several votes short of the 32 necessary for approval. About five Democrats remained either opposed or noncommittal, meaning that Republican votes were needed to secure passage. Yeah, right… that didn’t happen. Thanks, Democrats!
There’s no two ways around it… This is total bullshit. So, our only choice is to keep calling our Senators… Constantly. No, really, go Single White Female on them…
